The Developer of Minecraft, Mojang is undergoing a name change

The developer of Minecraft, Mojang is beginning the new decade with a change of name, even if a minor one. It is now known as Mojang Studios and it even has a new logo to go with it.

Inspired by the company's expansions into multiple offices, the company's new name Mojang Studios represents its size and how it it has grown way more than a team working on a single game, Minecraft.

The new logo is now are up of little things called 'Mojangs', and they are twisted in varies shapes to form the name of the studio in the trailer. It very likely that we will be hearing more about these little gadgets, and they are sure to pop up in Mojang Studios's future projects.

"They test and tinker, endlessly explore, and help us discover new corners of the Minecraft universe," Mojang Studios' head of creative communications said in their announcement post.

They also released a new trailer.

Speaking of new developments, the studio has many projects underway. Apart from Minecraft and its spin-off game Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang Studios is also working on a new feature film, experimenting with new game mechanics, and directing a live show.

Even recently, the Minecraft RTX beta received even more gorgeous worlds for players to explore. They use ray tracing technology to make the game look absolutely stunning. And as for Minecraft Dungeons, it will be released for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 26.
