How to withstand the right balance of luxury in the interior?

Characterizing the interior as "expensive", we mean a lot of concepts, but the main and defining among them - still the budget. A solid budget allows us to attract the best specialists to the development and implementation of the project. They, in turn, will offer solutions that do not imply savings on construction and finishing materials, will involve the purchase of extra-class interior items. However, even with huge budgets on hand, it is not so easy to achieve the Class. That is perfection, balance and the highest level of performance of the design project.

Too few or too many

Ideas for "big budget" interiors often go to extremes. One possible downside of perfection can be predictability and worn-out individuality. Let's just say: what is not applicable for the home interior, works well in the creation of luxury hotel interiors - there just the interior does not have to be personalized.

Another extreme - the interior has too many different ideas. For all the high cost of materials and interior items, the design is unbalanced and, without functioning as a well-coordinated organism, crumbles. As a rule, such interior is overloaded with details, textures, each of which "pulls the blanket on itself." Which automatically leads to a complete devaluation of the interior? And what is "rich" is perceived as "cheap" at once.

The golden mean is ideal for any interior, and expensive is no exception. Really high-quality expensive interior may not broadcast the defiant bright design idea.

The devil in the details

In the expensive interior details should flawlessly complement each other. If you choose an expensive dress, most likely, you would be advised to pay attention to the quality of seams. Same with the interior - appreciate the details: how the designer worked with batteries, doors, window covers and frames. It is the quality of the details that sometimes determines the level of the project.

It must be said that the law of parts is universal and works in the creation of both expensive and ordinary interior. The only difference is that the size of the budget for the implementation of ideas will be different.

Taste or tasteless Expensive project has the right to be non-standard and moreover - to show by all means its uniqueness. But it is one thing to emphasize the existing volume of the room and the huge area of the room an impressive art object, and quite another - to put on the same place columns-giants of a rare breed of natural stone and abundantly decorate them with gilding. Both moves solve, in fact, one problem, but the first is perceived as irony and self-expression, and the second - as inappropriate boasting of their own well-being.

Proportionality - the basis of the project

It may seem strange, but properly furnishing a really large room with very high ceilings - a very difficult task. Standard-sized items in such a space will appear as furniture from a dollhouse. In such an interior, most likely, will not fit neither sofas with low seats and backs, nor small in height and modest in diameter lamps, nor cabinets of the typical height of 2 meters.

However, in a project of any size it is important to closely analyze the volume and proportions of the room in the perspective of the intended objects - up to chalking or sticking a paint ribbon on the floor to better understand their dimensions, if, for example, the drawing on the scale does not help.

Light and color are coordinated. However, it is not enough to paint the walls in the color of frozen cranberries. Or choose for this a certain elite variety of paint. The cost of the interior is determined not only by brands and brands but also by how harmoniously to present the chosen shades in space. And for this you should think about color composition, and about combinations, plan background and accent tones within the interior and most importantly, to assess how they will look in artificial light.

Wrong (too bright, not the color temperature, located in the wrong place) light can ruin any - even the most expensive - interior.

Vitality - the basis of the interior

It would seem - here it is, ready "right" interior, but ... something's missing. It's time to look inside you. After all, the interior of the house should be built around the owner, reflecting his need for beauty and comfort, features of the organization of everyday life, hobbies, habits and lifestyle.

The atmosphere of the dwelling its spirit - a very delicate substance which appears itself when the designer created the right conditions. For its origin, the designer must be a sensitive person and a good psychologist. You can use immersion in time, that is, to introduce into the space items of bygone days (vintage, antique) or elements of finishing; immersion in culture by transferring by any available means of national color (in moderation).

Gold as the new black In conclusion - about the popular "disease" of expensive interiors: the immoderate gilding of everything and everything. Given that gold in the interior is one of the most fashionable trends of the season, it should be used especially carefully. There is no need to make all faucets, candelabras and order furniture on a carved frame with gold leaf covering. It is important to stop in time and use gold dosed - in details, small accessories. After all, in the interior of any scale - though expensive, though budget - it is better to shout not about money, but about good taste.
